You get a price with everything in it and a delivery day. If it's going on the road, we apply to the council for the permit.

Skip turns up
Morning or afternoon slot. The driver gives you a call on the way where they can and checks where you want it before dropping it.

Done early? Ring us and we'll come and get it. Need it longer? Ring us and we'll keep it there for you.
Skip permits
Skip going on the road? It needs a permit
If it's going on your drive or your own land, you don't need a permit at all. Job done.
If it's going on the road outside, the council has to say yes first, and it's the skip company that has to apply, not you. So we do it. Just tell us when you book and we'll add the permit cost on, at what the council charges us.

- Liverpool City Council charges £44 per skip and it lasts up to 7 days.
- The skip has to sit fully on the road. None of it can be on the pavement.
- We put cones and lights on it so it's safe after dark.
- City centre is different. Skips there have to go the same day unless it's a lockable enclosed one.
- Wirral, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens and Halton all charge their own amount. We'll tell you when you book.
A skip on the road with no permit gets a £200 council fine. Not worth the risk, let us sort it.

Do I need a permit for skip hire in Liverpool?
If your skip is going on a driveway, you don't need a permit. If it needs to go on public land, like a road, pavement or grass verge, then you'll need one.
Permits are issued by Liverpool City Council and have to be applied for by registered skip companies like us, not by residents. So if you need one, we'll arrange it on your behalf, ready for your drop-off.

How long can I keep it?
7 days is standard and that's what the price covers. If you need longer just let us know, ideally when you book. If it's on the road, the permit needs renewing after 7 days as well, which we'll sort.
Do I need to be in when it's delivered?
Not really, as long as we know exactly where it's going and the space is clear. Move the car off the drive the night before and it's easy. If you want to show the driver where to put it, that's fine as well.
Will a skip damage my drive?
Normally no, but block paving and fresh tarmac can mark. If you're worried, put a couple of scaffold boards or old planks down where the skip's going and we'll set it on those.
What happens if I overfill it?
Nothing can stick up above the sides, it's not safe to carry on the road. If it's overloaded the driver will have to take some off before he lifts it. Easiest thing is go up a size if you're not sure.
How do I pay?
Card over the phone once your delivery day is confirmed. Trade accounts are available for builders who use us regularly, just ask.
